The Smart One is the product of green inventor, Simon Wilby. It is a device that relies on light sources for continuous power. With a solar panel that is integrated to the phone’s power circuit, The Smart One can instantly convert light energy into mobile phone charge.

The Barbados-based company that produces this device, the Smart Power Inc., boasts that it can be retrofitted to any major phone models and brands around the world. By slightly modifying the inner circuitry of a mobile phone, The Smart One will easily transform it to a solar powered device without compromising the design.

With this slight modification comes great benefits. Simon Wilby’s invention can dish out as much as 14 hours of uninterrupted talk time against the typical 5 hours permitted by conventional batteries. It also offers continuous charging even under dim ambient light.

The Smart One is an aftermarket device that is currently available as a replacement to battery doors and lithium-ion batteries. The company plans to push the product global in the future to help an estimated 3 billion cell phone users around the world convert to renewable energy.

The CEO of Smart Power Inc. promotes smarter living through his solar powered devices, particularly The Smart One, which was launched earlier this year in sun-drenched Barbados. This product is considered by many to be the future of charging mobile phone batteries.

The Smart One, a device that can be retrofitted to any standard cell phones, has the means for converting light energy to electric charge via a solar panel that is affixed on the back of the phone. The trapped energy will then be sent to the modified battery that comes with The Smart One package.

This special gadget manufactured by Smart Power Inc. is so uniquely designed that it can outperform the capacity of three standard batteries combined. While ordinary lithium-ion batteries only produce an average talk time of 12 hours, The Smart One permits as much as 14 hours of uninterrupted cell phone use. This results from the two-pronged advantage of the latest solar cells which can self-charge under all light conditions and can store as much charge as the battery allows.

The energy-harvesting technology offered by The Smart One is expected to emerge as a convenient way of charging phones for nearly all mobile phone users around the globe. Simon Wilby’s invention will likely slash battery charging addiction this generation or the next, just in time with the growing demand for green energy.

The end of bulky cell phone chargers is at hand. Recently, Smart Power Inc., an international company based in Barbados, launched a new product that promises to end the need to carry around conventional chargers.

The Smart One, the product of green inventor Simon Wilby, makes for a perfect accompaniment to any major cell phone units. It is an aftermarket product that replaces conventional lithium-ion batteries that come with standard mobile phone packages. As such, it is retrofitted to phones to generate battery charge via a plastic solar cell assembled outside the battery door. It is completely compatible to any mobile phones and does not pose problems such as additional weight or changes in phone features. It also works without obstructions and cables as opposed to traditional solar panels.

The Smart One uses a plastic solar cell that is known for its full circuitry. This panel traps in light even when partially exposed. Thus, even indoor light is not a problem when trying to give the battery’s power a boost.

Simon Wilby’s unique solar powered battery may see the end of bulky chargers around the world soon. Backed by his company, he plans to launch the product to international market to lessen, if not totally eliminate, dependence on chargers.

(Detroit, Michigan USA) - When people think of green energy and solar power, they will be thinking of Smart Power Inc. This is the dream of Simon Wilby, the British-Canadian inventor who plans on finding more practical uses for solar energy. To this end, he busies himself with inventing a number of devices that run on converted light energy.

He began with The Smart One, the solar powered cell phone battery that threatens to push conventional cell phone chargers out of the circulation. This is a built-in device that absorbs and transforms light into a type of energy usable by mobile phones. The CEO of Smart Power Inc. indicated that this device is compatible with major brands and models of cell phones around the world.

Starting from here, Simon Wilby aims to transform the way we use solar power through his many inventions that are lined up for future commercial release. Among them are The Sail One - the solar powered street lamp, The Smart Juice - a device that can be fitted to laptops, The Smart Sound - a gadget that can convert music players, MP3s and MP4s into solar power-dependent devices, The Smart Game which converts ordinary game consoles into solar powered devices, and other similar gadgets.
